The Nightingale Inn, nestled in scenic Cape
Ann in Wenham was built in 1910 by Arthur D. Little, the famous entrepreneur who discovered acetate, and went on to build
a multi-national corporation. Later, John and Augusta Nightingale owned this historic 8,000 sq foot + residence,
complete with horse barns, fountains, pools and gazebos abutting Audubon land and expanded it to its current state.
Augusta is a direct descendant of Thomas Jefferson. President and Nancy Reagan once stayed at this residence,
as well as astronauts and other celebrities. The home features grand reception halls, staircases, hand-painted
Zuber wall covering depicting the complete 1849 El Dorado scene. Magnificent, well-appointed rooms and grounds
make this an exceptional event.
Consignworks is pleased to offer the complete contents of this estate. Furniture, decorative items and accent pieces, lawn,
garden -- everything will be sold on the weekend of AUG 18TH. This is certainly a truly special event,
not only to acquire beautiful pieces of furniture, rugs, art, sterling and more, but to treasure one of the
North Shore gems before it transitions to a private residence. Come enjoy the spectacular setting and have

There will be several selling areas in addition to the main home. The estate features rooms and rooms and buildings
with dozens of fine furniture items, most in Chippendale and English styles, including a Chippendale style dining room,
settees and fainting couch, many parlor chairs throughout the estate, end tables, foyer tables, demi-lune tables, chests,
and other furniture pieces. Leather chairs, recliners, desks, lamps, glass top tables. Several bedroom sets including canopy beds,
a bedroom set in cherry Shaker styling, and classic mahogany styles, a king sleigh bed, cast iron bed, 1920s vanity,
and other bedroom furniture. There are dozens of beautiful area rugs and runners.
At least (5) 32 inch LCD TVs, dozens of fine prints, lithos, Kincaid paintings, pedestals.
Beautiful tapestries adorn the foyer, Egyptian artwork and other items from around the world.
Porcelain figurines and chargers, a complete Wallace sterling silver service in the Grand Baroque pattern service for
12 with 8 pieces each. Dozens of other sterling pieces including candelabra, compotes, bowls serving pieces.
Demitasse sets, tea sets, serving bowls and more. A nice Murano glass bird collection, Hutschenruther dessert and service sets. The entire contents of the kitchen and pantries, with fine china, Blue Onion china set, and so much beautiful glassware, pots, pans and other items fit for this
grand estate. Decorative accents abound, and the window treatments are also for sale.
A very large event tent! Dozens of pool and outdoor chairs, patio furniture -- 10 black iron tables with 4 chairs each,
sunroom items, tables, grill. Treadmill, book collection, DVD collection, andirons, fridges, LG Stackable W&D,
lockboxes, linens upon linens as well.
The basement is chock full of extra items including more rugs, furniture including a mid Century Danish BR set,

We let in folks based upon the size of house but also ensure safety and protection, so please be patient as we try to accommodate everyone as quickly as possible.
